Pentaphonic Brass
Pentaphonic Brass is one of Germany's premier brass quintets. Five virtuoso, professional musicians bring the warm-yet-bold, blended sound of brass to audiences worldwide.
Based in the Rhine-Ruhr area of Germany, Pentaphonic Brass performs works from Bach, Handel, Mozart and Wagner, as well as jazz standards from Cole Porter, Glenn Miller, and George Gershwin. Since 2004, the quintet has been going strong, having performed well-received concerts in several German cities, including Düsseldorf and Cologne. They've also played in the United States, in Chicago, as well as several cities in Wisconsin.
Audiences enjoy Pentaphonic Brass' eclectic repertoire, which includes songs like St. Louis Blues, Rag-Time Dance, and Stardust, as well as selections from West Side Story. From spirituals to sonatas, and Irish tunes to Americana, Pentaphonic Brass delights audiences with a diverse range of musical selections during concerts.
Our members studied at the Robert Schumann Academy in Düsseldorf, the Music Academy in Cologne, and the Folkwang Academy in Essen.
They have performed in various professional symphony orchestras, chamber music ensembles, musical productions, big bands throughout Germany.
